More Impressive Cowboys' Defensive Numbers

Never before in Dallas Cowboys history has a defense shutout consecutive opponents.

Not 92'-93' or 95'-96' Cowboys' defenses that punished opponents and finished as the top total defense in the NFL each year and featured players such as Leon Lett, Ken Norten, Darren Woodson, Deion Sanders and Tony Tolbert.

Not the Doomsday defenses of the 70's with Harvey Martin, Ed "Too Tall" Jones, Randy White, and Charlie Waters.

None of these outstanding D's could do what these 2009-10 Cowboys did in the final two games of this regular season - when they needed it the most.

On top of that, only four teams since 1985 have accomplished this feat and the last to do it was the Tennessee Titans in 2000.

Not bad for a defense that has been referred to mostly as overrated since Wade Phillips arrived as the head coach.
